Do you enjoy to train, rear and mentor young animals??  This is so important cause it literally defines their future success.  Babies need to learn things like leash, crate, potti training.  The art of listening!!  Following instructions and routines.  Learning citizenship and patience to improve harmony in the adoptive home. 
Foster care is a force against recidivism!!!  

​Do you enjoy to experience different dog breeds from different groups?  There is no better way then FOSTERING!!

Foster care is also about following protocols, record keeping, accurate reporting of facts and observations, administering medications and sometimes full on nursing care, even hospice.  It means your time, effort and a lot of times your monetary investments that only return with love, satisfaction and pure joy.    It means you will be cleaning up some pretty gnarly messes and might even have some corners chewed off your chair legs or tables.   Ultimately, it also means getting really good at Goodbye.

As you go thru the FOSTERING process and start to experience commonalities an amazing thing happens, you find your niche.  A part of rescue that you just like doing best and are pretty dang good at it, the birth of a specialty.   Our Foster Moms are always willing to mentor, they have literally decades of experience they are eager to pass to the next generation of Mothers.
